C.A.R. is saddened to report on the recent passing of two of its valuable members. Both gentlemen made worthwhile contributions not only to the Association but to the industry at large, and they will be sorely missed.
After a long struggle with prostate cancer, Fred J. Siliger, Jr., F.J. Siliger Realty, passed away on Saturday, May 16. A licensed real estate broker who specialized in commercial real estate, Siliger was a member of C.A.R., as well as the Illinois Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. Most recently Chair of C.A.R.’s Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee, Siliger served on several committees, including CommercialForum, the Good Neighbor Awards Committee and CARPAC. Chuck Saponaro passed away on Thursday, May 21, after battling pancreatic cancer. Known for his love of life and strong commitment to the industry, Saponaro, Managing Broker, Coldwell Banker – Lakeview Office, served on several C.A.R. committees, including Professional Standards and CARPAC.
